How to monitor the temperature change of the sink with time?

Hi gays,

I'm trying to simulate plume geothermal systems using toughreact. I want to output the temperature change of the sink at each time step, but I don't know how to set it. It seems that neither the FOFT file nor the GOFT file records the temperature.

Have you tried Record_4.6 (OUTtime) in solute.inp file? If you add the sink cells in Record_8 and set up the desired print out frequency (NWTI) in Record_7, you should be able to see the temperature change vs time for the sink cells.

Bobby Tanks for your reply. I haven't considered chemical reaction, so I haven't set slout Inp file. However, it is not mentioned in the user documentation that OUTtime can output temperature data. When I need to join the chemical reaction, I will consider your suggestion.

    Hi,

I just saw this so maybe you figured it out already.  The temperature of the fluid in the grid block you are taking fluid out of (with the MASS option) can be written out in FOFT or time.out (if chemistry is run, giving the grid block name in solute.inp). This is not exactly the same as the temperature removed. The GOFT file will give the enthalpy of the fluid extracted so you can recalculate that to temperature.
