How to use TECPLOT for interpreting T2 OUTPUT
Dear team,
I have a difficulties to interpret T2 output (P-T distribution) by using TECPLOT. I created 3-D model of geothermal reservoir with 968 elements. I got error after run the ext.exe, which downloaded from http://esd1.lbl.gov/research/projects/tough/licensing/free.html (described below).
What should I do?
Thanks in advance for the response.
nb: please see the OUTPUT T2 file in attachment.

Hi Ichwan,
You need to have a separate file MESH (with blocks ELEME and CONNE) in the working directory where you run EXT. Also, make sure you have set KDATA>=2 in the TOUGH2 input file, so you get the output block with flow connections.

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the reply. The MESH file is already in the EXT folder. However, I got:
Found printout<1>: 0.13041E+06 100
no connection
Please find the MESH file in attachment.

Hi Stefan,
I read your comment in another similar post https://tough.forumbee.com/t/x07fa.
I have no space between column in flow part due to a negative sign. I already checked and changed the -0. with -. Then, I tried to run EXT.exe and I still got:
I thought the elno 331 does not have connection. I checked into MESH file, but the elno 331 actually has conne.
Thanks in advance.

Ichwan,
Which TOUGH2 version did you use to create the output file? It is in a non-standard format. Yoojin Jung looked at it and found that if you remove the first two columns in the flow block of the output file such that the element names are properly aligned with the header, EXT works as intended.

Dear Stefan,
I used T2 version 2.0 (October 1999). For the post processing purposes, I updated the T2 engine: (i) remove form feed character and (ii) fix zero padding for GENER output. I did the T2 because I need all the P-T result in single table.
Thanks for the advice, I will use the original T2 engine and I will inform the results to you.
