Polygonal mesh model runs much slower than regular mesh

I'm running CO2 injection with regular and polygonal mesh model, polygonal mesh even has less elements than regular mesh cause of number of connections limitation, but this polygonal mesh model runs much slower than regular mesh, does anyone else experience the same situation?? Thanks.

    Hello Jing,

    You need to provide more context: Are you running the same problem for both meshes? How does your polygonal mesh look like (e..g, is it still Voronoi grid)? Why is it slow (e.g., phase change)? It is hard to say what is going on without relevant information.

    Hi Yingqi, I'm running the same problem, CO2 injection for the same area. I planned to compare the results between this two model.

    Hello Jing,

    Have you resolved the problem?  In your polygon mesh, do you have connections with a very small surface area? If that is the case that might be the reason for the slow speed. Removing those connections will help with the speed.

      Yingqi Zhang Thank you very much Yingqi! I solved the problem by reducing the number of model elements, since polygonal mesh can create model with high resolution around well only. Actually the simulation was speed up compare to regular mesh, after reducing number of elements!
