Dear TOUGH users,

 

I am modeling co2 injection using t2well/eco2m into an aquifer. I am outside the saturation line (Tsurf = 35C), but the pressure at the wellhead cell after 60 seconds gets up to 1200 bar. I have tried different values in the PARAM section, but I could not make it work. I am attaching both input and output files. I would very much appreciate your support on this.

 

Could you please help me understand how to set a proper model in ECO2M? Is there any "trick"? Whenever I make a model in ECO2N, I do not get issues, but problems come with the ECO2M, regardless of whether I cross or not the saturation line.

    Hi Jose,

    I took a quick look of the output file. It seems the drift model work well, but pressure build up quickly in the whole wellbore.  I guess (wild guess) something wrong with the well screen.  Please make sure the connections between well elements and the reservoir have reasonable d1, d2, connection area, and permeability  between them, which should allow injected CO2 flowing into the reservoir.
