Hi,

I have to ask that after running itough2 software successfully there is one file created tecfile, on which software i can open that file for 3D view as post processing? And i tried to download tecplot but it needs a license key and i have no idea there are four types of tecplot software available on their website as a trial version i tired to download the tecplot360 viewer but not working for me in this case.

    Dear Zafar,

    The .tec files created by iTOUGH2 can be viewed by any version of TECPLOT, including TECPLOT360. If you are referring the the iTOUGH2 .tec files that just create line plots (e.g., of measured and calculated observable output variables), you can use any plotting software (including EXCEL). Most visualization packages accept a column format (e.g., time vs. value, or X, Y, Z, value). You can generate such files using iTOUGH2 command

    > COMPUTATION

      >> OUTPUT

        >>> FORMAT: COLUMN

    which generates a .col file that you can then read into your favorite visualization package.

    Hope this is helpful,

    Stefan
