Time Problem TOUGH2 with EOS7R
  Hello everyone,

I’m a new TOUGH2 user. I am trying to simulate a diffusive transport of nuclides in porous media. The input works and I get good results. But I still have a problem with the PARAM-input-parameter. I want to simulate a 'long-term' analysis (round about 100 years, every timestep one year), but the simulation always stops after one year. There is no error-message. I have the same problem, if I change the input to: whole time: 10 years, timestep: one year.
I hope someone could help me. Thank you very much.

Hi Maike, Also I am a new TOUH2 user. You solved your problem? I think it's because the convergence is achieved on the first iteration and the steady state has been reached. It is possible that the timestep is too small. Barbara

Hi Maike, I think Barbara is on the right track, but there is no way of telling without seeing the output file, which almost certainly has a message indicating why the simulation stopped. So please: look carefully at the output file and provide that information, so the TOUGH community can help you resolve the issue. Regards, Stefan

Thank you for your reply. I solved the problem. It was a problem with the convergence. Best regards, Maike
