Convergence on ITER=1
I'm running TOUGH EOS1 SC, attempting to modeling deep (7km), low permeable basement rock with an intrusion. The combination of heat and low permeability makes it quite a mission to get this baby running without convergence issues.
A common error I'm encountering is.
FOLLOWING 2 STEPS THAT CONVERGED ON ITER = 1
I saw on previous posts that it was advised as a 'brute force' method to require a second iteration. However on my current TOUGH version I don't have the MOMOP parameters available.
I have tried raising/lowering the initial time step length as well as lowering/raising the factor that the time step is reduced by and increasing the allowable iterations. I have a attached an example input and output file. I just want to make sure I'm not missing a relatively easy solution to this issue even if its brute force. Because I will need to inject more heat into this model.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Ben

Ben,
Sorry, I don't have time to look at your files right now, and I'm not suggesting that you employ the "brute force approach". But just for the record:
I don't know which "current TOUGH2 version you have, but EOS1sc is only available as part of iTOUGH2 V7.1, and iTOUGH2 has MOMOP, i.e., you could set MOP2(1)=2.
