TOUGHREACT-EOS2 - non-congergence- injection of H2O and CO2

Hey everyone,

I need help to solve a problem in my input file, please. I run into a problem with an input file which  I have been using for different simulations already and which worked fine. The idea is to inject H20 and C02 at a certain temperature at the bottom of the domain (over 2 blocks) with an additional basal heat flux. Boundary conditions at the top/atmospheric blocks are atmospheric conditions for pressure, temperature and particle CO2 pressure. Impermeable and adiabatic conditions should be given at the side and bottom beside of the injection point and heat flux.

My first simulations worked fine with a certain GENER (see attachment flow_ok.inp) and I get reasonable results. However, if I adapt the values for COM1 and COM2 slightly (flow_not_working), I get a non-convergence after some time. The output file during simulation states "REDUCE TIME STEP AT" and then end with non-convergence.

Furthermore, block close to the surface have values greater than atmospheric pressure, but shouldn't it be similar to atmospheric values, especially in areas away from the injection point?

Does anyone have any idea how I can overcome this, please? Or anything I can try?

Best wishes,

Fee
