IF WE CAN VISUALIZE THE VECTOR OF GAS AND WATER ON TOUGH+HYDRATE

If we can export Darcy flux vector of gas and water without change the source code of TOUGH+HYDRATE like that:

The first thing would be to process the *.out file, since that is the only place where you get fluxes through connection reported.

On top of that it is important to get a good grasp of mesh so you can index easily the connections.

Once you have those things in place you can start thinking about visualizing in such manner.

Have you done any of the first two parts?

Alejandro Bello Thanks for your advice, but i can't generate a *.out file with my vision (T+H V1.5), i can only find these data on my *.exe program when running and i can't find the way to generate this in T+C_MANUAL and T+H_MANUAL. Can you give some advice on how to generate it?

CHE. JC  What sort of output files do you get?

Normally the *.out is generated if you have called the simulator as

      TH.exe <file.inp> file.out

Being file.inp the name of your input file.

Alejandro Bello Generally, I will compile the source code by VISIUAL STUDIO and get a *.exe at first. Then I will establish a new file and edit this input file. Finally I will copy the contents of the file and paste it to the *.exe that is already open. After these procedure, *.exe will calculate and generate some files, all of it is shown below

I can only get some file like these file, I just can't get a *.out file, I wonder if it is caused by my way to use it, can you show more details on generate this when using TOUGH+HYDRATE?

CHE. JC Ok I am a bit confused about the way you run a T+H simulation.

Is there a particular reason why you need to compile the code every time and make the input part of the exe file?

Alejandro Bello I am not compile the code source very frequently. Sometimes I have to modify the source code when doing my project and I only need to compile it at that circumstance, I used to meet some troubles on the process of compile, so I can't make sure if these reasons are caused by my way of compiling, so I list all the procedure of using TOUGH+.

      CHE. JC

The routine way of running a simulation using T+H.exe file is to run it without recompiling and giving Output.out in the command as you mentioned here

So getting output file would be easy. Then you can use this output file to get data for.plotting your vectors.

If u want, i can send you the output files after running simulation. Use the connections data and velocity data to do what u need
