A question about example problem 5 (CO2 injection)

Hello all,

I have a question about the results of the 1D CO2 example problem in the TOUGHREACT manual.

After 1 year the pH at the far side of the domain (away from the CO2 injection) is 7.5. Only after 10 years it reaches a value of 8.5 as shown in the manual. The results for one year are consistent with the problem solution provided in the TOUGHREACT short course (a quite old version from 2012). I used version 1.2.

As the water composition is supposed to be in equilibrium with the solid phase I wonder why does this happen?
