Limitation to the number of VOCs ?

Hi everyone,

I am currently running simulations with 8 VOCs (plus air and water) and I want to add 6 more VOCs.

I modified the T2 file like so:

- MNEQ = 17 (16 components + one energy balance equation)

- MNK = 16 (14 VOCs, 1 NCG and water)

Unfortunately, the application stops before running. I checked that the MULTI records are like this:

16 16 3 8 10 (I inject 6 more VOCS in a 10-component isothermal system)

I read in the manual that "there are no intrinsic limitations to the number of NCGs or VOCs in the TMVOC formulation; arrays for fluid components are currently dimensioned as 20, accommodating water plus 19 components that may be NCGs or VOCs. NCG arrays are dimensioned as 10."

Is there a limitation in the source code for the number of VOCs?

Thank you in advance, the TOUGH community, for your help,

And I wish you the best for this new year!

Cheers,

Quentin

    Hi Quentin,

Please clarify what you mean by "stops before running"  (you cannot stop unless you are running, right?).

Here's my most asked forum question: What is the error message?

    Hi Stefan!

Here the message I got from the prompt command and the .out file.

I meant it did not run as the simulation stopped after enumerating the domains.

I just understood that it is not related to the number of VOCs but to the physico-chemical properties of the others "VOCs" (actually, they are alcohols) I need to inject.

Here are the properties for the alcohols I want to inject, just in case you see any mistakes...

Most of the data comes from the Appendix A in Reid et al. (1987).

There are only mistakes in ISOPROPANOL and the PENTANOL records.

I have to double check them.

    Sorry for this useless post...

    Hi Giraud,

I want to model LNAPL distribution by TMVOC. DO you know how can I get the code. I would appreciate if you can send me TMVOC code.
