cannot find -laztec

Hi folks,

I am doing a clean TOUGH3 installation on a Linux system and want to use the PETSc solver.  I have no interest in using the AZTEC solvers.  But it seems I cannot finish building TOUGH3 without AZTEC.

I configure like so (wildcard characters are to protect my privacy):

./configure.sh --build-type=RELEASE --eos=eco2n --no-x11 --petsc-dir=/***/***/***/***/petsc-3.17.5 --petsc-arch=arch-t3

I get the following error:

cannot find -laztec

Script ERROR: Failed to build TOUGH

I searched the user's guide and forum and can't find a discussion of this error.  Which file or configure parameters do I need to edit and how?  Or do I just need to install the AZTEC solvers even though I'm not going to use them?  Thanks!

    Hi Diana,

The AZTEC was included in the TOUGH3 distribution package. It should be compiled automatically.

If -laztec can not be found, it means something wrong in compilation of AZTEC. You may be able find error message regarding failure of AZTEC compilation.   Please post the error message here.
