Incomplete simulation run
Hi,
I have a problem with the attached simulation INFILE. The simulation terminates before the specified simulation time (only 0.778 s out of 10 years). How can I recognize the reason for the simulation termination? and How can the problem be solved?

Please check that the radial spacing of your grid is what you really want. You start with a well radius of 0.3 m, and according to the MESHMAKER input appended to your input file, you ask for 1000 elements between the well and r=10 m with logarithmic spacing. This causes the elements to get very small. I recommend you try different parameters in MESHMAKER and then check that the grid it produces makes sense. When using a radial grid, I usually try to get a gradual increase in radial spacing, maybe a factor of 1.05 to 1.1, between blocks (the MESHMAKER output will tell you what increase factor it calculates). Unless I have specific requirements for grid resolution at different radial distances, I usually just use one LOGAR block in MESHMAKER. One good reason to use two LOGAR blocks would be to achieve a finer grid in the region where CO2 goes, and a coarser grid beyond that for the pressure calculation. But then you have to look at the transition between the two regions and make sure the grid spacing is reasonable.
