time range in GENER and PARAM

Hi All,

The time steps shrinks to E-07 near the end of simulation period. I found this message in the OUTPUT file.

 QQQQQQQQQQ SUBROUTINE QU QQQQQQQQQQQ --- [KCYC,ITER] = [1452,  1]
 0.181708E+10 IS OUTSIDE THE RANGE  ( 0.0000E+00, 0.1817E+10)
AT KCYC = 1452 EXCEED GENERATION TIME TABLE AT ELEME NTP1r74    (SOURCE C0871) -- WILL REDUCE DELTE
TOUGH STATUS: Failed in MULTI. IGOOD=           3
 +++++++++ REDUCE TIME STEP AT ( 1452, 1) ++++++++ ++++++++   NEW DELT =0.512227E-07

I think 0.181708E+10 is from my last time in the GENER file (1.817078E+09, see below for a section of GENER file).

P1r74C0871    0    0    0    6     COM1  0.000E+00 0.000E+00 0.000E+00
  0.000000E+00  1.796082E+09  1.796083E+09  1.798761E+09
  1.798762E+09  1.817078E+09
  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00  2.616400E+00  2.616400E+00
  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00

But I don't understand where the value 0.1817E+10 is from. My TIMAX is 1.8200E+09 from the PARAM block, which is larger than the last time step in GENER file.

PARAM----1----*----2----*----3----*----4----*----5----*----6----*----7----*----8
 813 -16    99991111311 0020 02400  7  0           1.800E+00 0.000E+00
 0.000E+001.8200E+09-1.000E+00                     9.810E+00 4.000E+00 1.000E+00

Can any one please point me the problem?

Thanks,

Haiyan

This is caused by handling the  time stepping to honor the time in the GENER.   You may increase the time in the GENER to larger than or match  the TIMAX to avoid this problem.

Thanks for the reply, Kenny. That makes sense.
