GOFT

Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue with the use of the GOFT keyword under Tough3. I don't manage to obtain the GOFT output files, and have no reason why. My syntax seems to be correct, no error is detected nor indicated in the *.out file.

Does any of you have any clue why this happens ? Thank you

Hi Florian, I think there was some problem with GOFT reading and hopefully I fixed it. Did you purchase the source code? Can you send me an email: yqzhang@lbl.gov?

    Hi

I have the same problem as Florian.  Input text seems correct and model runs ok, but no GOFT output file is generated.  Is there a solution to this?

    Thanks

Can you please attach your input file here (if big please scale it down) with details of the module you used so I can take a look

    Thanks

      Hi Yingqi Zhang

Please see attached.  I am running eco2n.  I'm new to TOUGH so there may be something I've done wrong in INFILE,  I'm just using a simple grid (and bits and pieces of inputs from sample problems) to test it out and get my head around it at moment.  Aim of this file is to inject CO2 for 2 years, then see plume development over 500 years.

      Thanks

      Dan

    Hello Dan,

Please find the code fix for the GOFT print out, indicated by the red dot lines in "Input_Output.f90".(search for keyword GOFT in the file)

Yingqi  let me know if you still have problems

    Hi again Yingqi.

Unfortunately it appears we only have the executables, not the source code.  Is there any workaround to this without editing the code?

    Regards

I have the same issue. I was able to locate the file Input_Output.f90.o, but do I need a Fortran editor to edit it?

Hi Yingqi, the fix did work partially. GOFT files are now printing. However, I have two generation elements per node (the injection/production wells move two components, water COM1 and methane COM3) and only the GOFT files for COM1 gets written (see my INFILE attached).

Do we need to fix the code?

    Thanks very much

    Yannick
