Is there a limit of injection rate that an element can accept?
Hi, I am running a 2-D planar, unidirectional flow with injection and production at both ends (actually, simulating an aquifer). But I found if I increase the injection rate more than a certain…

Cells with time-dependent concentration?
Hi, I found that time-dependant boundary conditions in flow are possible in TOUGH2 by using FOFT and GOFT blocks, but is it also possible to have a time-dependent concentration at certain element?…

Re: Lithofacies random fields in TOUGHREACT?
Thank you, it worked flawlessly and I can see the results are slightly different from the default one. For the last question, can I know the meaning of each column of your <min_volf.…

Re: Lithofacies random fields in TOUGHREACT?
Thank you for the prompt reply Eric, However, I still have no idea about how to prepare separate input file, <min_volf.inp>. Is there any example or that I can refer to?…

Lithofacies random fields in TOUGHREACT?
Hi, I am trying to apply random fields both in flow and rock chemistry. I know I can do one for the flow field using permeability modifier (PMX) option equipped in TOUGH2 (flow.…

Re: Convergence problem chemistry
I am having the same problem. Making tolerance extremely high (1E+3) resulted in a very very small time step, and it never ends. I am sorry for not a helpful reply,…

Re: MOPR(1) = 4 (constant velocity)
Thank you. Dr. Sonnenthal, Actually I made a typo (now fixed). I was comparing 0 vs. 4, not 2 vs. 4. But I think I understand your answer somehow. So, for the 100% diffusive transport in 1-D…

MOPR(1) = 4 (constant velocity)
Hi, I know most of simulation uses the first option of MOPR(1) as 0: reactive transport or 2: only flow with no chemical reaction but when do we use 4:…

Re: Species appear two times in time.out
Yes, Only if the "t_fe+2" column represent all the aqueous fe2+ species and not solid phase, I can regard the measured value as "t_fe+2". It's clear now. Thank you for the kind lesson.

Difference between 'e' and 'd' in power expression
Hi, it might be a minor problem though (because I am a newbie to scripting), Sometimes the power expressions are written in 'd', not 'e' (e.g. 1.0 d -9, not 1.0 e -9 especially in DIFUN filed).…
