Hello everybody,

I have just one trouble, could "initial volume fraction of the mineral" be superieur 1 ?

Thank a lot.

    Hi,

no, the initial volume fraction need to be a value between 0 and 1 and the sum of all these values has to equal 1, otherwise there appear some strange mass balance errors (from a practical point of view).

    Hi Tran,

In addition, if the sum of the initial volume fractions is greater than one, the volume fractions are normalized so that the total is equal to one.

sorry i did not reply early, the first thank you your response, so i have to take the result of second iteration ( after the volume fractions were normalized for the model ) if i understand the response of Eric

    thank you very much

Actually, if the values are greater than one, they are normalized to one. This is done soon after input. This should not result in a mass balance error.  If you do find that there is some error when the total is greater than one, let us know. I don't think that a mass balance error can be introduced, but then bugs somewhere are always possible.
